In March 2023, Hip & Happy took a step across borders, opening its Namibian branch. Based in Rehoboth and trading primarily in Windhoek, this expansion was born from a deeply personal connection to the country. Rentia and her daughter-in-law Nes, inspired by the mother-daughter story of Hip & Happy in South Africa, brought the same familial spirit to Namibia. Operating from their cozy home studio on the farm, Rentia and Nes handcraft each design with care, ensuring the brand’s legacy of locally made, versatile, and inclusive clothing thrives in its new home.
Namibia was a natural choice for Hip & Happy’s first expansion, a place that has always held a special place in the founders’ hearts. Rentia’s passion for carrying forward the ethos of creating clothing for every body shape, size, and age aligns seamlessly with the brand’s values. With the Namibian branch, the story of family, creativity, and community grows richer, proving that Hip & Happy is more than a clothing brand—it’s a celebration of connections, old and new, across borders.
